Corrugated Plastic
Corrugated Plastic refers to a wide range of extruded twin-wall plastic sheet products produced from high impact polypropylene resin with similar make up to corrugated fiberboard. It is a tough, lightweight material which is easily cut using a craft knife. Manufacturers often offer a wide range of colours and thicknesses.
The sheet is chemically inhert, with a neutral pH factor. At regular temperatures most solvents, oils and water have no effect on the sheet, allowing it to perform under extreme weather conditions or as a component exposed to harsh chemicals.
Standard sheets can be modified with additives, which are melt-blended into the sheet to meet specific needs of the customer. Special products that require additives include: ultra violet protection, anti-stat, flame retardant, custom colours, corrosive inhibitors and static-dissipative.
It is commonly used to create commercial sign, construction plastic containers and reusable packages. It is usually used in the packaging of automotive and electronic parts.
Corrugated Plastic is often made from polypropylene which is capable of being recycled.
